Samsung A100 Meego laptop

Keep in mind that Asus is not the only computer manufacture that is bent upon rolling out low cost netbooks that run on meego operating system. Korean electronic giant, Samsung is offering N100 netbook powered by Intel Atom N435 processor that runs at 1.33GHz clock speed.

While Asus is already selling its Asus ultrabook x101 notebook in the US, Samsung currently only has plans to sell it in third world countries. It has already announced that it will be selling it in India for just 275 dollars. This is a pretty good price for a meego laptop that has 10.1 inch display, WSVGA resolution, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth. Oh, and I completely forgot to mention that it weighs in at just 2.2 pounds.

Acer Chromebook mini laptop price falls to 299

The Acer chromebook mini laptop that launched in the Q2 2011 for 350 dollars is now available for just 299 dollars. It is the first chromebook that was made availabel for purchase and comes with 16GB of flash storage. The Acer Ac700 chromebook runs on an Atom N570 processor.

Lenovo X121e Reviewed

ThinkPad X121e comes in three flavors - Intel Core i3-2357M, AMD E350 and C50. Specs include an 11.6 inch display, 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 × 2 (Powered One), 4in1 media slot combo × 1 input / headphone output microphone, Web camera, fingerprint reader and a 6 cell battery. CPU is Intel Core i3-2357M processor. 2 cores 4 threads are clocked at 1.3GHz. Turbo Boost will not work since Core i3. Cache is 3MB. Low clock-minute operation, and suppressed even up to 17W TDP. CPU's can expect long battery life in energy conservation.

According to this lenovo thinkpad x121e review, battery life is just under 5 hours which is fine if you are going to be for just few hours but not good enough to last you the whole day. Performance wise it is much faster than the atom processors and even amd llano processors.
